Each resident is assigned a carer to allow for maximal personalised care and an approach that makes the resident feel seen and valued. At Forest Brow, there are disability arrangements to allow for ease of all residents when they stay with us. Full wheelchair access is available and can be shown when you come to visit. 

Secondly, you should ask about bedroom arrangements and facilities. At Forest Brow, all of our accommodation is single occupancy with many with en-suite facilities. When visiting, asking to view the rooms with and without the en-suite facilities can help inform your decision and will enable you to see what would best suit your needs best. Our accommodation is boutique-style and comfortable, setting up a living environment which is homely and wholly tailored to the needs of the individual. Our home houses up to 32 residents, and they each stay in a room which is their own living space, allowing for comfort and a welcoming environment.

At Forest Brow, we provide both internal and external activities which are planned by our activities coordinator who works tirelessly to plan stimulating entertainment for the residents at the home. Within the home, crafts and other activities that are often seasonal provide stimulation and engagement allowing for a pleasant experience. As well as this, day trips to the local area including the seaside also provide entertainment which contributes to the overall positive experience our residents have at the home.

The official rating of care homes can be seen in inspection reports, in England the CQC is the main body for officially inspecting residential care homes and giving them a rating. At Forest Brow, our services were rated good in three out of the five measures that CQC uses. Our service is rated effective, caring and responsive by officials. The overall safety and leadership of our home was labelled as requiring some improvement, with some specifically listed improvements listed on the latest report of 2023. Since then, we have worked tirelessly to attempt to improve our services and work on the areas which the CQC has outlined.
